GRANTS PROCESS
Organizations interested in applying for Education funding should follow the procedures below. Please be sure to read the Irene S. Scully Family Foundation’s Education program area page prior to beginning the application process. Only organizations aligned with our mission and who meet our Alignment and Funding Requirements will be eligible to apply.
The Foundation has four grant cycles per year. Please see our Grantmaking Calendar for application and reporting deadlines. Grants typically range from $5K to $50K.
*** Organizations applying for funding for programs in Haiti or for Special Projects funding must receive prior approval from the Foundation. Please note that the Foundation does not accept unsolicited requests or inquiries for Haiti or Special Projects funding. ***
LETTER OF INTENT and APPLICANT INFORMATION FORM
As part of an organization’s initial introduction to the Foundation, we ask that all organizations submit a Letter of Intent (please only one to two pages in length) and fill out our Applicant Information Form. Please email both the Letter of Intent and the completed Applicant Information Form to Mayuko Lee, mayukolee@irenescullyfoundation.org.
GRANT PROPOSAL
Within two weeks of receiving the Letter of Intent and the Applicant Information Form, a member of our staff will respond to your request. Organizations that are invited to submit a full proposal should visit our Proposal Guidelines page for the additional information required for a full proposal submission. Proposal documents should be emailed to Mayuko Lee at mayukolee@irenescullyfoundation.org. In some instances, we will arrange a site visit to acquaint ourselves with an organization and to learn more about a proposed project. The Foundation’s Board of Directors meets quarterly. Grant decisions are typically made within two months of the full proposal submission deadline.
GRANTEE REPORTING
If a grant is made to your organization, you will be required to follow our Reporting Requirements.
GRANT RENEWAL
In some instances, the Foundation will accept applications for additional years of funding (for no more than three consecutive years). Please refer to our Renewal Guidelines for further information.
