ABOUT US
The Irene S. Scully Family Foundation was created in 2004 by Irene Scully to focus her family's philanthropic interests and to broaden her commitment to bettering the lives of her Bay Area neighbors.
A former teacher, performing arts enthusiast, and mother of six children, Irene has devoted her time and resources to education, arts, and youth development organizations over the years. Through her experiences, she began to see the disparaging differences between the programs and opportunities offered to her children and to those offered to youth living in low-income neighborhoods. She established the Irene S. Scully Family Foundation to create equal opportunities for disadvantaged families and communities, with a vision of making systemic change to the cycle of poverty.
The Irene S. Scully Family Foundation gives approximately $5 million each year to nonprofit organizations located in the greater Bay Area of Northern California.
